Picnic @ the Beach
Forty-one people attended Picnic @ the Beach yesterday. The next one is July 19th - save the date!
No commentsNecessary Ingredients
At the last Leadership Pipeline, we discussed mentoring. Pastor Eric offered 5 necessary ingredients for successful mentoring relationships:
- build trust
- show transparency
- offer time
- believe in people
- give encouragement
Of course, we learned a lot of other cool stuff, including the announcement of a new staff member. Oh, you didn’t get that memo? Maybe you should have been there! The next Leadership Pipeline will be July 17th. See you there!

In July, Shoreline will be doing a series about serving - locally (July 13), nationally (July 20), and globally (July 27). As part of serving locally, we’re asking everyone to help us out on Saturday, July 19th. If you’re a Life Group leader, be thinking about a way your group can serve the community. Examples: assisting with a soup kitchen, helping out at the crisis pregnancy center in Fort Walton, a beach clean-up day, etc. Email or call the people who attend your group to discuss possibilities with them. I will be contacting all Life Group leaders via phone in the next couple weeks to see what they’ve selected.
Again, the service day will be July 19th - save the date!
No commentsCalling all Shoreline volunteers!
We will be having Leadership Pipeline TONIGHT, June 19, at 7:00 pm at the Destin Community Center. Leadership Pipeline is for ministry leaders and volunteers. We discuss leadership principles and how we can do ministry together. Childcare will be provided in the Hogeboom Room. Please email Esther Yost to let her know if you will be attending and if you have children you will be bringing. Thanks and we hope to see you there.

I’m curious about your opinions on Shoreline’s Life Groups. I have two questions for you. Please post your answers as comments. Thanks! I can’t wait to hear your feedback!
1. What is your favorite Life Group offered this summer? Why?

This video clip was taken last night at Fat Clemenza’s. Save the date for the next Ladies Night on July 18th!
No commentsFour Weeks. One Prayer.
What would happen if believers from all over the globe came together to impact the world like never before? Well, we’re about to find out. Over 1,300 churches, representing over 750,000 people, are participating in this worldwide event.
Today kicked off a four-week series for ONE PRAYER, started by Pastor Craig Groeschel. If you missed it, you may either download the message off Shoreline’s web site or attend the Tuesday night service at McGuire’s.
The first message in this series was “Lord, Make Us One.” This is from John 17:20-23: “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.” Pastor Eric gave three “ONEs” that unify the church: one enemy, one heart, and one purpose.
Again, if you missed it, be sure to catch up before the June 15th message.
No commentsThis one’s just for the ladies.
The mind is a battlefield on which we wage war. It’s where we either win or lose in our fight against the enemy. That’s why it’s so important to regularly take inventory of our thoughts. As the Scripture says in Proverbs 23:7, as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.
How is your thinking? Are your thoughts helping to bring about Satan’s plan for your life or God’s plan? Are you using the spiritual weapons God has provided to fight against our invisible foe?
On June 19th, the Summer Bible Study life group will kick off with Joyce Meyer’s Battlefield of the Mind DVD set. Her teachings will expose wrong ways of thinking and help you renew your mind with the truth of God’s Word.
