All the Lonely People
George Gallup has said, “Americans are among the loneliest people in the world.” How can it be possible to feel lonely in the midst of busy lives and overcommitted schedules? Because we’re a culture craving relationship. Meaningful relationships are found in Life Groups. If you haven’t joined a Life Group, I encourage you to. The next Get Life Day is September 7th and the fall Life Groups will be announced at that time. If you’re interested in leading a Life Group, call me (217-9495) to discuss options. The church has Bible studies available on DVD, if you’d like to borrow them to lead a group.
No commentsNo experience necessary.
The fall semester of life groups will be here before we know it. In the next few weeks, you’ll see advertisements for new life group leaders. We are recruiting people like YOU!
Being a life group leader is so easy. Really, the only qualifications you need are being nice and being willing to invite people to your activity. You decide when, where, frequency, and duration of your group. It can be weekly, every other week, or once a month. It can be for men, women, or both. It can be for singles, couples, or families. It can last throughout the semester and for just a few weeks. It can be a sport, a hobby, an activity, or a Bible study. If you’ve never led a Bible study, there’s no need to be nervous. The church has some DVD curriculum that you can look through and borrow. That way, it’s as easy as opening your home and pushing “play” on your DVD player.
Shoreline Church is full of some of the coolest people I’ve ever known. The best way to meet those people is through life groups. So, what are you waiting for? Call me (217-9495) and take the next step in leading a life group.
