Sharpshooters was formed in the spring of 2009 to promote gun safety and provide a safe shooting environment for gun owners. The group is led by Josh Murphy, an NRA Certified Instructor.

For the fall semester, Sharpshooters will be offering the NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course as a 10-week study. This study is for all skill levels, but will take participants from knowing nothing about pistols to becoming confident in their gun safety and shooting skills. Participants will also be able to get their CCW permit at the end of the course.
