All the Lonely People
George Gallup has said, “Americans are among the loneliest people in the world.” How can it be possible to feel lonely in the midst of busy lives and overcommitted schedules? Because we’re a culture craving relationship. Meaningful relationships are found in Life Groups. If you haven’t joined a Life Group, I encourage you to. The next Get Life Day is September 7th and the fall Life Groups will be announced at that time. If you’re interested in leading a Life Group, call me (217-9495) to discuss options. The church has Bible studies available on DVD, if you’d like to borrow them to lead a group.

1. What is your favorite Life Group offered this summer? Why?

6 comments“Growth” in Life Groups
Our Sunday morning attendance has doubled since May of last year. Our life group attendance has stayed about the same.
Average Weekly Attendance:
Spring 2007 - 147
Summer 2007 - 99
Fall 2007 - 148
Spring 2008 - 142
A slight dip in the summer is to be expected, but I’m a bit surprised that our life group attendance hasn’t grown this spring. Between both Sunday morning services and the Tuesday night service, we have about 600 people attending church services each week. That means that less than 1/3 of the people who attend church also attend a life group. Our goal is 2/3 and we’re not even close to attaining that goal!
Do y’all have any ideas you’d like to share about how to get new people involved in life groups?
